"Museum Dreams" offers a comprehensive retrospective of Sir Isaac Julien in the former industrial spaces of gres art 671. The show combines multi-screen video installations, photography and archival objects in a carefully staged immersive environment. Several large-scale video works — including pieces never before shown in Italy — converse with sculptures, negatives and historical images to interrogate the museum as a contested space.
Location: gres art 671, via San Bernardino 141, Bergamo.
Why visit: the exhibition delivers a powerful audiovisual experience that moves beyond visual pleasure to prompt reflection on social, political and identity-related issues through contemporary visual language.
Before visiting, check opening hours and ticketing information on the hosting venue’s official channels. Allow sufficient time for the visit: the immersive format and multiple screened rooms reward a slower, attentive experience.
