Montescudaio: 'Borgo in Mostra' returns May 23–24, 2026

The historic center of Montescudaio (PI) hosts Borgo in Mostra, a two-day event highlighting local excellence: food and wine, craftsmanship and cultural moments designed for residents and visitors seeking authentic borgo experiences in Tuscany.

Program overview

• Saturday, May 23
  • 3:00 PM – Panoramic walk "Where the territory's products are born" organized by Odiapidei.
  • 6:00 PM – Conference in the "Emo Sarti" room at the Town Hall: "Wine and food tourism: a development engine for Italian borgos" with Dr. Tommaso Pardi.
  • From 6:30 PM – Tastings and samplings in Piazza del Comune.
  • 9:00 PM – Dance and entertainment with the Quadriglia della Val di Cecina at the Castle Square.
• Sunday, May 24
  • From 12:00 PM – The main street becomes an open-air restaurant with craft markets, street food and guided tastings.
  • Live music by Folko, a performance by the Dreamland Voices choir and a set by DJ Simone.
  • 4:30 PM – Children's cooking workshop with Chef Simone Acquarelli.
  • 5:30 PM – Cooking contest and awards for the best traditional Tuscan dishes.

The event showcases local products such as DOC wine, olive oil, bread, cured meats and honey, with guided tastings and spaces dedicated to local crafts. The initiative is organized by the Municipality in collaboration with the Pro Loco, the DOC Wine Consortium and local associations.
