Mille Miglia on Motorbikes Through Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages: Umbria leads the route

From 30 May to 7 June 2026 Umbria will be at the heart of the Mille Miglia in Moto nei Borghi più Belli d’Italia, a major motorcycle itinerary that will pass through some of Italy’s most picturesque historic centres. The event blends motorcycling with the promotion of local cultural, artistic and food traditions.

The official prologue will take place in Trevi during the National Assembly of the Borghi più Belli d’Italia association, while the operational base for the event will be Castiglione del Lago, a convenient hub for the Umbrian stages.

What the event offers

  • Road itineraries connecting villages and historic centres, with stops for visits and tastings.
  • Opportunities to discover local traditions, crafts and typical products.
  • A format designed for slow tourism on two wheels, focused on cultural and community enhancement.

Stages and communities involved (in Umbria)

Among the Umbrian municipalities involved are Castiglione del Lago, Trevi, Torgiano, San Gemini and Terni. The participation of local authorities highlights the collaborative nature of the project, intended as a tool for territorial promotion.

Practical information for participants

  • Dates: 30 May - 7 June 2026.
  • Official start (prologue): Trevi.
  • Operational base: Castiglione del Lago.
