Milan launches 'Spring of the Arts': exhibitions, concerts and guided tours across the city and Lombardy

Milan has announced a new spring cultural calendar dedicated to contemporary arts and local heritage. "Spring of the Arts" runs from April 10 to May 31, 2026, bringing together museums, theaters, foundations and independent spaces with events aimed at a broad audience.

The initiative aims to highlight permanent collections and new productions, promote evening access to cultural venues and encourage regional pathways that include towns across Lombardy.

  • Exhibitions: previews and site‑specific projects at venues such as the Triennale and the Museum of 20th Century Art, featuring extended evening openings and thematic guided tours.
  • Music and performances: series of chamber music and experimental concerts staged in theaters and unconventional locations, including commissioned premieres by emerging Italian artists.
  • Guided walks: historical and architectural routes along the Navigli, historic neighborhoods and civic buildings, designed for families and schools.
  • Workshops and training: programs for young curators, artist talks and practical activities for adults and children.

The schedule includes special tickets, weekend packages and reduced fares for students. Organizers and institutions are also promoting collaborations with cultural partners from other regions for traveling projects.

For locals and visitors alike, the program offers a chance to rediscover lesser‑known sites and to support the revival of the cultural season with a diverse and accessible offer.
