Maggio Sermonetano 2026: events in the medieval village of Sermoneta

From 10 to 31 May 2026, the historic centre of Sermoneta comes alive with the 31st edition of Maggio Sermonetano, a festival aimed at showcasing the village, traditional crafts and ensemble music from the lower Lazio area. The initiative is organized by the Maggio Sermonetano association with municipal support and local partners.

This year’s theme, “The mind and the breath”, encourages a slower pace and the recovery of time: the program prioritizes ensemble music, artisan workshops, street performances, exhibitions and cultural meetings.

Key events and programme highlights

• 10 May – Opening with clay workshops (Loggia dei Mercanti) and performances by young guitarists; travelling musical bands with the Banda Fabrizio Caroso.
• 17 May – Exhibition spaces open (Church of San Giuseppe, Loggia dei Mercanti, Pinacoteca); photo and painting shows; concerts and street bands.
• 22 May – Enlight Ensemble concert at the Church of San Michele Arcangelo.
• 23-24 May – Workshops and yoga sessions (“Breath – the breath of the Universe”) including practical classes and sunset meditation; evening concerts and artistic installations.
• 30-31 May – Ensemble music workshops open to all instruments and voices; events focused on regional musical traditions and youth projects.
