For the opening of the 61st Venice Art Biennale, Harper’s Bazaar Italia devoted its May issue to "Art in Photography" and extended the editorial project into a physical exhibition. The "Sono qui" exhibition by Juergen Teller is hosted at Palazzo Diedo in the Cannaregio district and presents a photographic narrative of Venice through the photographer’s candid and human visual language.
The project functions as a tangible extension of the magazine issue: images published on the pages are reconfigured into an installation to create an immersive experience that merges editorial work, contemporary photography and artistic installation. The magazine acts as a "Paper Pavilion."
The issue features three prominent photographic voices — Paolo Roversi, Juergen Teller and the duo Inez & Vinoodh — engaging with the idea of exhibition both as a physical meeting place and the original photographic gesture when light fixes an image on a surface.
This operation reasserts the paper magazine as a cultural object and experimental space: pages become a narrative device and a place of encounter between fashion, image and contemporary art. Venice acts as a creative laboratory where photography and installation build physical experiences within the Biennale framework.
Practical note: the article presenting the project is dated 7 May 2026. For details on opening times, ticketing or exhibition duration, check the official channels of the exhibition or the magazine.
