Throughout May 2026, the WWF Bosco Rocconi Nature Reserve in Roccalbegna (GR) runs a program of outdoor activities for families, nature enthusiasts and wildlife photographers. The calendar aims to introduce local habitats, promote wildlife observation and highlight conservation practices.

Main activities

• Small freshwater ponds: guided walks focused on minor aquatic ecosystems to spot newts, frogs, dragonflies and turtles.
• Peregrine falcon: birdwatching outings to search for raptors on the reserve’s rocky cliffs and surrounding areas.
• World Bee Day: a session on the role of pollinators and a workshop to build nesting boxes for solitary bees.
• International Day for Biological Diversity: talks on plant–pollinator relationships and the importance of mutualisms.
• European Parks Day: free excursions departing from Rocchette di Fazio (Semproniano) and Roccalbegna to celebrate the reserve’s management anniversary.
• Nature photography workshop: two sessions with professionals covering macro techniques and field reportage.
