Turning to the light: group exhibition at Villa Fiorentino, Sorrento

Dates: From 15 May to 14 June 2026

The group exhibition Turning to the light, curated by Rossella Savarese and part of the Sorrento Contemporary Art program, opens at Villa Fiorentino in Sorrento. The show focuses on the central role of light in contemporary artistic practices, featuring site-specific works that dialogue with the villa’s exhibition spaces.

The project investigates how mark-making and light can outline visual routes and suggest possible paths between main and secondary directions, taking inspiration from Paul Klee’s visual rhythm concepts.

In addition to the displayed works, the program includes live performances, artist talks and awards for notable contributions. The format also pursues charitable goals: funds raised during the exhibition will support Rotary Club Sorrento activities, with backing from Fondazione Sorrento and SyArt Gallery.
