Sulla soglia: multimedia and live installation in Matera

"Sulla soglia" is a sensory and performative route developed within an interdisciplinary workshop at the Conservatory of Music "E.R. Duni" as part of the PNRR D.I.A.R.Y. program. The project foregrounds papier-mâché as a material language: five abstract sculptures evoke the texture of the local calcarenite and create a symbolic landscape oriented toward an ascent to Beauty.

Program and contributors

• Opening: Friday 15 May, 6:00 PM, Sala degli Scacchi — electronic performance with double bass curated by Grace Troilo.
• Second installation: "Paesaggio relitto" in the Library Hall, featuring a performance by the Conservatory E.R. Duni Jazz Ensemble.
• Visual and sculptural contributions: video works by Davide Masciandaro; sculptures by Suzana Henriqueta Alves da Silva in collaboration with master papier-mâché artist Raffaele Pentasuglia.
• Sound research and compositions: multiple composers and conservatory students contributed to sound design and dramaturgy.
