Corciano at Giornate dei Castelli 2026

Dates: 16 and 17 May 2026

A weekend focused on discovering Corciano, a historic hill village near Perugia: guided tours, a thematic conference and special openings of heritage sites usually closed to the public.

Main programme (16 May)

• 10:00 – Institutional greetings in the Vecchio Mulino hall, inside the medieval walls.
• 10:30 – Conference "Corciano. A fortified village of art and altitude", coordinated by the University of Perugia with contributions from local historians and scholars.
• 13:00 – Lunch at the restaurant "Il Convento" (paid option).
• 15:30 – Guided visit by reservation to the Castello della Pieve del Vescovo, led by an Art History lecturer with student support.

• Porta di Santa Maria – the historic gateway and ideal starting point for a walking route.
• Palazzo della Corgna – a 16th-century residence evoking designs by architect Galeazzo Alessi.
