This guided tour explores the link between work, creativity and urban growth, visiting key sites and buildings that show how stonemasons, carpenters, blacksmiths and other artisans helped shape the city.
The itinerary begins in the Renaissance halls and façades of Palazzo Farnese, a landmark of power and architecture where stonework and decoration testify to high craftsmanship. Inside, the Carriage Museum displays pieces that highlight the collaboration between specialized workshops.
From the palace we continue through the historic centre to spot old workshops, portals and façades that tell the story of traditional trades, some obsolete and others adapted over time. The tour ends at Piazza Cavalli, the city’s historic heart where commerce and civic life have long intersected.
