Puccini Classic Sails: program and practical information

Where: Torre del Lago Puccini, Lake Massaciuccoli (Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli Natural Park)

The event brings together historic sailing boats and replicas in a rich natural and cultural setting. It features two non‑competitive races, boat displays and free side events open to the public.

What to see and do

• Watch classic and vintage boat races on the lake.
• Walk the lake perimeter (about 10 km) and explore park trails.
• Visit the displayed boats and speak with crews and restorers.
• Attend cultural activities hosted along the waterfront and at the Sailing Club.

Registration and boat eligibility

Eligible vessels include wooden dinghies, fixed‑keel boats with maximum draft of 1.5 m, cabin yachts, replicas built to original plans and historically significant fiberglass boats or those built before 1980. A crane will be available for launching and hauling operations.

Visitor tips

• Access: parking and access points in Torre del Lago; expect walking to reach some lakeside spots.
• Clothing: layered clothing and sturdy shoes for uneven trails and quays.
• Facilities: free side events, information points at the Sailing Club and Park of Music.
• Environment: follow park guidelines to protect local wildlife and vegetation.
