Le Bolognesi: known and unpublished photographs from the Antonio Masotti archives

Galleria Modernissimo (former Underpass of Piazza Re Enzo)24 April – 7 June 2026

This exhibition presents a curated selection from Antonio Masotti’s extensive photographic archive, which includes over 5,500 negatives and prints. The images — some previously published, others unseen — offer an intimate, respectful portrayal of the women who inhabited Bologna in the late 1950s and early 1960s, captured in both posed and candid moments.

Organized by Elena Correra and Giuseppe Savini, the show frames a walking-like itinerary through Bologna, suggesting a visual dialogue with contemporaneous Parisian scenes and inviting visitors to compare local and international urban perspectives.
