Guided tours of the Tuscania Necropolises

The Tuscania Tourist Office, in collaboration with Archeoares, is organizing two guided tours to explore the funerary heritage and the town centre with expert explanations and on-site routes.

  • Sunday 26 April 2026 — 3:00 PM: route among the basilicas and through the historic centre.
  • Friday 1 May 2026 — 10:30 AM: visit to the necropolises and the Archaeological Museum.

Meeting point and logistics

The meeting point is the Tuscania Tourist Office at Piazzale Trieste. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time. A private vehicle is recommended to reach the archaeological areas.

Tickets and bookings

Access to the Archaeological Museum requires purchasing a ticket at the museum ticket office on the day of the visit. Places are limited, so advance booking via eventi.archeoares.it is advised. On-the-day reservations may be possible at the Tourist Office subject to availability.

Children under 12 participate free if accompanied by at least one adult.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for unpaved paths. The tours provide a direct opportunity to see funerary evidence on site and to understand ancient territorial organisation.
