Palazzo Ciccozzi: Antonio Del Donno exhibition

On the National Day of Historic Houses, Sunday 24 May 2026 Palazzo Ciccozzi opens its rooms to host a monographic exhibition dedicated to Antonio Del Donno. The event is part of the cultural programme for L'Aquila – Italian Capital of Culture 2026 and is promoted by Spazio Indipendenza.

What to see

  • The “Vangeli”: seminal works from the 1970s, now considered rare and sought after internationally.
  • “Tagliole Giganti”: large-scale pieces that combine spirituality, social commentary and strong expressive power.
  • An exhibition route tracing the artist’s production from the 1970s through the 2000s, featuring museum-quality works and key iconic pieces.

Organisation and curation

  • Organiser: Spazio Indipendenza.
  • Curatorship: Archivio and Polo Museale Antonio Del Donno, in collaboration with ArteOraTV.
  • This reinstallation follows a February showing and responds to public and cultural operators’ requests.

Practical information

  • Date: 24 May 2026
  • Venue: Palazzo Ciccozzi, Via Indipendenza (near Piazza Duomo), L'Aquila.
  • Notes: opening hours, access rules and ticketing were not detailed in the official notice: please check with the organisers or official channels for the latest information before visiting.
