LAMPA – Sternatìa: the village I imagine

When: 31 May – 2 June 2026
Where: Town Cloister – Former Dominican Convent, Sternatìa (LE), Italy
Entry: free

LAMPA turns Sternatìa’s historic center into an open laboratory of cultural regeneration. Over three days the village hosts immersive art, urban gaming, contemporary theatre and food experiences designed to enhance local identity and heritage.

Highlights

  • Immersive installations, some permanent and some temporary, remaining accessible after the opening dates.
  • Workshops on immersive art, gamification and cultural innovation.
  • Live performances combining theatre, music and electronic soundscapes.
  • Urban gaming and augmented reality experiences that connect myth and local history.
  • Gastronomic routes featuring typical products in a special “Borgo dei Sapori” edition.

Who should attend

LAMPA is aimed at visitors seeking slow, participatory cultural tourism, cultural professionals, young creatives and local residents engaged in regeneration. The initiative intends to increase visitor stay, stimulate local businesses and create digital and creative job opportunities.

Project and program

The project is developed by a multidisciplinary team, with artistic direction by Massimiliano Siccardi and Raffaela Zizzari. The programme includes talks by experts in game design applied to culture, cultural innovators and performances exploring memory and identity with contemporary languages.

Purpose: to position Sternatìa as an innovative cultural destination through digital tools, smart info points and a dedicated creativity and coworking space, supporting local economy and counteracting depopulation.

Practical information

  • Dates: 31 May – 2 June 2026
  • Main venue: Town Cloister – Former Dominican Convent, Sternatìa (LE)
  • Admission: free; check schedules for individual events

For participation details and the full schedule, consult the official municipal and organising channels. LAMPA offers a replicable model for other small towns aiming at authentic, sustainable cultural tourism.
