The Museum of Industrial Heritage in Bologna hosts an exhibition on Lambretta scooters until 12 July 2026. The show explores the technical evolution, cultural impact and racing legacy of the Lambretta, from urban models to competition machines. Advance booking is required.
The Lambretta was first produced in 1947 at the Innocenti factory in Lambrate and was designed by aeronautical engineer Pier Luigi Torre. It quickly became a symbol of post-war mobility and later also a competitive vehicle. The exhibition features vintage models and tells the story of how the Lambretta entered popular culture and sport.
Bologna played an important role in the Lambretta racing story through the Lambretta Club Bologna and several prominent riders. The exhibition recalls notable achievements such as:
