Lambretta in Bologna: exhibition at the Museo del Patrimonio Industriale

From 14 March to 12 July 2026 the Museo del Patrimonio Industriale in Bologna presents "Lambretta in Bologna", an exhibition dedicated to the Innocenti production and the scooter's role in Italian mobility and popular culture.

The exhibition highlights technical features — such as the single-tube frame, centrally placed engine and key innovations introduced by Innocenti — alongside the social and media presence of the Lambretta, from famous endorsers to sporting achievements.

Displayed models and materials

  • 125 streamlined Record (very rare, one of only two known examples worldwide).
  • Prototype of the Lambretta 50.
  • 125 D Corsa with reinforced frame, larger central tank and 4-speed desmodromic gearbox.
  • 125 LD (’57), offered with optional electric starter.
  • 150 D, the top evolution of non-faired versions with forced cooling.
  • 150 Li Second Series, the best-selling model.
  • LUI 50 CL, a modern design born from collaboration with Studio Bertone.
  • 200 DL, the fastest production scooter of its time, featuring an internal-hub disc brake and electronic ignition by Ducati.
  • Display case with memorabilia: photos, plaques, trophies, awards and Spring-wound toy Lambrettas (1948–1950).

Why visit

The exhibition traces Lambretta's technical development and cultural impact: from everyday transport to racing, long-distance raids and film appearances. Visitors can view historical models, learn about mechanical innovations and explore local collecting traditions.
