Integration in the Riccione socio-health district

The Riccione socio-health district has implemented a set of measures to support the inclusion of foreign residents: territorial information desks, Italian language and culture courses, linguistic-cultural mediation and school awareness activities.

• Information desks: active in five district municipalities (Riccione, Misano Adriatico, Coriano, Cattolica and San Giovanni in Marignano), providing guidance on social and health services, administrative support and information on residence permits. Last year they recorded over 1,500 contacts.
• Italian language and culture courses: between 2024 and 2025, 14 courses were delivered for a total of more than 1,000 hours, designed for different proficiency levels and aimed at improving autonomy in accessing services and employment.
• Mediation and awareness: the project includes linguistic-cultural mediation, intercultural workshops and school-based discussion paths (including six meetings involving classes from the Volta-Fellini High School), with attention to vulnerable groups such as women victims of violence and low-education families.

The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the volunteer association Arcobaleno and the cooperatives Il Maestrale and Eucrante. According to district managers, the coordinated approach—backed by volunteers, trainees and local operators—aims to ensure access to services while fostering a more welcoming and cohesive community.
