The Twenty-Fifth: 25 Years of quiSalento in San Cesario di Lecce

On Friday, May 8, the Distilleria De Giorgi (via Vittorio Emanuele III, 86) will host a day dedicated to reading as a way to discover the Salento territory and its changes. The event is part of the "Local Pact for Reading" project and is organized by the cooperative Espera with the patronage of the Municipality of San Cesario di Lecce.

• 4:30 PM – "Fantafolletto – the Salento stickers": a workshop for children aged 6 to 10 by Terzo Millennio (reservation via WhatsApp at 0832/359307).
• 4:30 PM – Guided tour of the former Distillery led by architect Antonio Monte, exploring the site's industrial history and local production memory.
• 7:00 PM – Panel "The Twenty-Fifth: how the story of Salento was born and how it is changing. History and imaginaries", moderated by Federica Sgrazzutti. After institutional greetings from Mayor Giuseppe Distante and Culture Councillor Anna Luperto, speakers include: Luigi De Luca (Polo Bibliomuseale di Lecce), Antonio Errico, Angelo Salento, Nandu Popu (voice of Sud Sound System), Azzurra De Razza, Giorgio Ruggeri, Dario Quarta and Cinzia Dilauro (editor and deputy editor of quiSalento).
• Until 11:00 PM – Evening reception with traditional food, a toast and musical selection by Max Nocco.

The program reflects on the quarter-century of territorial storytelling by quiSalento, a publication that has chronicled the cultural life, traditions and transformations of Salento while aiming to preserve the authenticity of its places and people.
