Autore: Redazione 10/03/2026 11:44

Herculaneum Archaeological Park at Didacta Italia

Herculaneum Archaeological Park will take part in Didacta Italia to present the new educational digital guide “Adventure in Herculaneum”, designed to make visits more interactive and inclusive for children and young people.

What the project offers

  • Interactive digital guide with multimedia content and educational games;
  • Use of augmented reality to explore the ancient city in an immersive way;
  • Activities aimed at active learning and participant engagement;
  • A strong focus on accessibility: tools developed to support visitors with autism spectrum conditions and cognitive difficulties, while remaining suitable for all children and teens.

Presentation details

The presentation takes place on March 11 at 15:30 at the Ministry of Culture stand (Stand W01 – Padiglione Spadolini Attico – Conference Room) at Fortezza da Basso, Florence. The event is aimed at teachers, educators and cultural sector operators.

Goals and partners

The initiative connects heritage, technology and teaching to create new ways of experiencing archaeological sites and to broaden cultural access. The Park collaborates with the Packard Humanities Institute and the association Variabile K to engage local communities, with particular outreach to economically and culturally disadvantaged groups.
