The Body of Women is an exhibition by artist and sociologist Francesca Chialà staged in the historic center of Brescia and within the spaces of the Museo di Santa Giulia. The project explores representations, bodily experiences and social dimensions related to the female condition, through works and interventions designed for the specific sites.
The itinerary brings together site-specific works and interventions that respond to both urban settings and the museum context. The exhibition encourages a thoughtful engagement with topics such as identity, memory, corporeality and the presence of bodies in public and museum spaces.
Allow time to experience both the museum displays and the outdoors sites in the historic center to appreciate the dialogue between works and place. Consider joining a guided tour to gain insight into the artist’s themes; visiting during quieter hours offers a more reflective experience.
For the latest updates on opening hours, side events, workshops and entry rules, consult the Museo di Santa Giulia official channels or Brescia municipal information. Booking in advance ensures availability, especially for special events or thematic guided tours.
