From 16 April to 28 June 2026 the Palazzo del Podestà in Montevarchi presents the exhibition “Archetypes and Resurrections – Sublime Metamorphoses on the Theme of Nature”, dedicated to the artist Armodio. Curated by Professor Giovanni Faccenda, the show brings together about fifty works, including well-known masterpieces and several previously unseen paintings.
The exhibition marks the return of Faccenda to the city and aims to strengthen the local cultural scene by showcasing significant contemporary works.
Armodio is regarded as one of the main interpreters of metaphysical language in contemporary painting. Active internationally since the 1960s, his work has been exhibited across Europe and the United States and is held in important public and private collections. His career includes notable participations such as the 2011 Venice Biennale.
The Montevarchi exhibition offers a cohesive view of his practice: themes of nature, light and the transformation of objects into images loaded with silence and visual intensity, presented through recent and previously unseen works.
This exhibition is a valuable occasion for art lovers and the general public to engage with the work of a major figure in contemporary Italian painting. For visiting hours and ticket information, please check the official channels of the municipality or the exhibition venue.
