Porte Rosse hosts Color Mentira. The Colour of Lies, a solo show by Hogre that investigates anti-advertising language through printmaking. The exhibition gathers works made in collaboration with Colombian print studios since 2023, alongside prints produced in Mexico City and Barcelona.
Using serigraphy, engraving, movable-type prints and risography, Hogre subverts commercial messages and reframes them as critical and satirical statements. Highlights include a serigraph from Tandem Taller in Cali that transforms the figure of David into a political emblem, and works that reinterpret maternal imagery and imagined consumer brands.
The exhibition emphasizes the blend of street art sensibilities with traditional printmaking techniques: Colombian workshops contribute vibrant chromatic intensity while international collaborations broaden the artist's conceptual range.
Why go: the show is a compact survey of how contemporary printmaking intersects with guerrilla graphic practices and subvertising, combining political critique, irony and technical experimentation.
