On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March the 34th edition of the FAI Spring Days took place, inviting citizens to rediscover Italy’s cultural and landscape heritage. This year the event recorded more than 500,000 visitors across the country.
Notably, the Ministry of Education and Merit (MIM) opened the doors of its Palazzo dell'Istruzione, designed by architect Cesare Bazzani. Visits were led by student Apprentice Guides, an educational initiative that blends local heritage knowledge with hands-on cultural practice.
The FAI Spring Days aim to highlight often inaccessible or lesser-known sites and to engage local communities in their care. This edition included thematic openings, such as commemorations for the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi.
Attending the FAI Spring Days is a way to both discover and support the preservation of cultural heritage: visits are free with voluntary contributions that help fund conservation, education and local initiatives.
