FAI Spring Days in Vicenza and province: 7 special openings

Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2026 mark the 34th edition of the FAI Spring Days. The event allows access to monuments, historic palaces and archaeological sites that are often closed to the public, with guided tours and insights into local heritage.

  • Palazzo Volpe (Prefecture headquarters) – Exceptional opening of historic rooms showing architectural layers from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, with original decorations on display.
  • Cathedral Archaeological Area of Vicenza – An underground route spanning almost two thousand years of history, from Roman domus to medieval churches. Access by reservation with guided tours.
  • Palazzo Godi Nievo – Prefect's apartment – Renaissance palace attributed to Vincenzo Scamozzi: visit representative rooms and the 18th-century loggia with notable architectural features.
  • Bisazza Foundation (Montecchio Maggiore) – Exhibition space exploring the dialogue between mosaic art and contemporary design in former industrial settings.
  • Pirani Foundation – Zitelle Periclitanti (Bassano del Grappa) – 18th-century institution that tells a social history of education and care through original spaces and archival material.
  • Rocca of Arzignano – Fortified complex on a panoramic hill including the Vicario's loggia, the tower and the Church of the Visitation with important paintings.
