FAI Spring Days in Pietra Ligure: over one thousand visitors at the "Heart of Stone"

The 34th edition of the FAI Spring Days in Pietra Ligure ended with very positive results. Despite unsettled weather, the event attracted both residents and visitors, confirming local heritage's ability to engage and surprise.

Organisers noted that the weekend provided access to sites usually closed to the public and helped showcase the town's history, combining seaside scenery, medieval architecture and religious traditions.

• Over 1,000 visitors across the weekend;
• About 300 people entered the Castle, normally closed to the public;
• 650 attendees joined the town itineraries and visits to the Basilica of San Nicolò, the Old Church and the Oratory of the Most Holy Annunciation;
• More than 100 viewers attended the documentary screening on the historic Pietra Ligure shipyards.

The "Apprendisti Ciceroni" (student guides) were particularly praised for their passionate presentations, and organisers thanked the FAI Albenga-Alassio delegation and local volunteers. Proceeds from the visits will support FAI's national mission to protect art and nature.

Municipal representatives, organisers and local associations highlighted how such initiatives can raise the area's visibility and contribute to the conservation and promotion of local cultural assets.
