FAI Spring Days: key information

When: 21–22 March 2026

Where: Naples, surrounding province and other locations in Campania

Contribution: voluntary (donations support conservation and promotion projects)

What are the FAI Spring Days

The FAI Spring Days are a national event that opens historic, artistic and landscape sites—many usually closed or little known—to the public. The initiative aims to raise awareness of local heritage through guided tours, volunteer-led presentations and themed routes.

Sites to visit in Naples and province

More than 50 sites in Campania will be accessible to visitors: a variety of historic residences, religious complexes, archaeological sites, artisan workshops, natural areas and cultural and sports venues. A notable special opening is the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, available for visits during the event.

Reasons to attend

  • Discover places that are often inaccessible or underappreciated.
  • Support restoration and conservation projects with a donation.
  • Hear from Apprendisti Ciceroni—students trained to guide and narrate local stories.
  • Join an event organised by thousands of local volunteers.

How to participate

Find details on opening times, visit days and access rules (some sites reserve access to members) on the official website: www.giornatefai.it. Openings are made possible through cooperation with site owners, local administrations and cultural institutions.

Visitor tips

  • Check schedules and book in advance if required by individual sites.
  • Wear comfortable shoes for uneven terrain or longer walks.
  • Follow site rules and consider making a donation to support conservation.
  • Consider FAI membership if you want access to exclusive visits.

The FAI Spring Days offer a valuable chance to explore the monumental heritage of Naples and Campania while contributing to its protection and enhancement.
