FAI Spring Days 2026 in Campania: overview

On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2026 the FAI Spring Days return, offering visits to monuments, historic palaces, villas and other heritage sites that are usually closed to the public. In Campania more than 50 locations will open, with guided tours led by volunteers and by apprentice guides.

How to take part

Some visits require advance booking or have limited capacity. Check schedules and access rules on the official FAI website or search by the provincial capital to find the programme for your area.

Sites open by province

Province of Avellino

  • Avella: Church of San Giovanni; Church of Santa Candida; Church of San Pietro; Palazzo Ducale Alvarez De Toledo; Immersive and Archaeological Museum; Palazzo Borrelli.
  • Mirabella Eclano: Church of San Bernardino; Church of Santa Maria Maggiore; Church of San Francesco; War Memorial; Civic Museum of Sacred Art; Cart Museum; Museum of Mysteries.

Province of Benevento

  • Benevento: Confindustria premises (including a renovated former bank vault); complex of Sant'Agostino.
  • Solopaca: Ancient stone oil mill and parts of Palazzo Cusani open to visitors.

Province of Caserta

  • Aversa: Cathedral of San Paolo; Episcopal Palace; Sedile San Luigi; Church and Cloister of San Domenico; former Justice of the Peace building.
  • Caserta: Prefecture Palace; Real Vaccheria and the Tempietto of the Blessed Sacrament.
  • Riardo: Park of the Ferrarelle Springs.
  • Sessa Aurunca and surroundings: Church of San Carlo Borromeo; Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul; Palazzo Di Transo; Church of San Leone; Cloister of San Domenico and the Congregation of the Holy Rosary; Villa Matilde at Avallone (Cellole); and other historic sites in the area.

Province of Salerno

  • Praiano: Casa L'orto, the residence associated with artist Sol LeWitt on the Amalfi Coast.
  • Camerota: Palazzo Santa Maria, home to a local cultural foundation.
  • Pollica: Palazzo Mazziotti, a noble residence linked to the Cilento Risorgimento history.
  • Salerno city: cultural venues and historic buildings such as the Aula Culturale of Palazzo Pedace, the Ebris Foundation, the Natella family nativity collection and private rooms of the Archbishop's Palace.
