From 24 April to 18 May 2026 the MUST – Museo Storico della Città di Lecce hosts Giacomo De Luca's first solo exhibition in Italy. The presentation focuses on sculptural and installation works that address fragility, archival practices and spirituality through transformed everyday materials.
Curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi and Matteo Scabeni, the exhibition is part of the Paesaggi Mediterranei program of Lecce Contemporanea Mediterranea. Supported by BCC Leverano within the Futuri Emergenti Italiani initiative, the project includes interventions in the Sala Marianna Elmo and develops as a city-wide, site-responsive program.
De Luca's practice transforms humble materials—eggshells, resins, myrrh and found objects—into relic-like containers that document processes of purification and self-reconstruction. His background in dance informs works that read the body as archive, exposing vulnerability while suggesting aesthetic and existential renewal.
This exhibition is recommended for visitors interested in contemporary sculpture, site-specific installations and projects that investigate the relationship between materiality, memory and transformation.
