GEA 2076 is an installation-museum by artist Alessandro Calizza, commissioned by Greenpeace Italy and inaugurated in the Trastevere district of Rome. The work converts climate crisis statistics into an embodied, interactive experience aimed at fostering public dialogue and awareness.
Located in Piazza San Cosimato, the exhibition is organized into three distinct sections that lead visitors through an accessible and participatory route designed to provoke reflection rather than alarm.
To coincide with the opening, Greenpeace released regional figures on the climate crisis: in Lazio, between 2015 and 2024 extreme weather events caused nearly €155 million in damages, while just over €27 million was allocated for coverage — roughly 18% of the estimated need.
The exhibition is open to the public until Sunday 12 April 2026. Following the Rome presentation, GEA 2076 will tour to other Italian cities: Padua (17–19 April 2026) and Bari (22–24 May 2026).
