GEA 2076: Greenpeace's climate exhibition in Rome

When: 10–12 April 2026, 10:00–20:00. Where: Piazza San Cosimato, Rome. Entry: free.

GEA 2076 is a time‑travel style installation by artist Alessandro Calizza that projects visitors fifty years into the future to illustrate potential impacts of climate change. The exhibit combines visual storytelling and interactive displays to highlight causes, responsibilities and actionable solutions.

The show is divided into three thematic areas connected by an accessible, participatory route suitable for a broad audience.

  • Opening ceremony: Friday 10 April at 11:00, with Greenpeace Italy's Executive Director Chiara Campione and artist Alessandro Calizza.
  • Children's workshop: Saturday 11 April, 11:00–18:00, organized with Tic – Libri e cose fantastiche. Creative activities for children aged 6 and up (work clothes recommended as non-toxic paints may stain clothing).
  • Public event “Senza Parole Live”: Sunday 12 April, 18:30–20:00. A discussion on eco‑anxiety, housing rights and urban green spaces, featuring guest speakers and live drawing by illustrator Alec Trenta.

At the opening, regional data on the costs of the climate crisis in Lazio will be shared, focusing on recent extreme weather events and investments in hydrogeological risk prevention.

The exhibition will travel to other cities after Rome: Padua (17–19 April) and Bari (22–24 May). Check for updates on dates and times before attending.

Practical tips: recommended for families and school groups; interactive and accessible layout; free admission through Sunday 12 April.
