At the Milan Design Week, Frette's flagship store on Via Manzoni showcased Turning Tables, the collection marking the brand's return to tableware. Developed with designer Tara Bernerd, the line merges Frette's textile know-how with contemporary design language.
The offering features mixed cotton-linen textiles, polished walnut trays with inlays, and leather or printed-leather coasters. The collection emphasizes colour, geometric borders and distinctive patterns to make table settings a personal style statement.
Alongside the collection, Frette is working on converting its headquarters into a museum dedicated to the textile industry. The planned space will be open to the public and highlight the company's history through an accessible, immersive archive.
The museum project aims to share Frette's contribution to domestic and hospitality culture worldwide while promoting innovation and environmental responsibility.
This initiative combines heritage preservation with public engagement, reflecting key museum priorities: safeguarding archival material while offering interpretative displays that explain textile techniques, materials and craftsmanship to a broad audience.
