Buccellati unveils Aquae Mirabiles during Milano Design Week 2026, an immersive installation that intertwines artistic storytelling, historical references and marine imagery through theatrical set design and crafted objects.
Curated by Federica Sala and developed by Balich Wonder Studio with creative direction by Claudio Sbragion, the project uses the sturgeon as a central emblem to map a narrative spanning rivers, seas and the culture of caviar. The experience combines original drawings, silverware pieces and large-scale scenography to reinterpret the maison's language.
The installation layers mythic figures — Neptune, tritons and sirens — with chronological alcoves that trace the sturgeon's cultural history, creating a museum-like sequence where ritual, culinary memory and iconography converge.
Visitor takeaways: Aquae Mirabiles is designed as a sensory and informative journey that showcases Italian craftsmanship, contemporary design research and a poetic revisit of heritage motifs.
