When: March 18–20, 2026 · Where: Palazzo Candiotti, Foligno.
Foligno becomes a hub for practices in heritage education: the C.r.e.a. Cultura Festival converts the historic palace into a creative laboratory where ideas, technology and cultural education meet. More than 300 students, teachers, educators and cultural professionals from Italy and across Europe take part.
The festival programme features public events, focused workshops and interactive exhibits designed to explore new ways of presenting and interpreting monuments and cultural sites using digital tools and participatory approaches.
The festival’s core is the Open Lab run by Crhack Lab Foligno 4D on the ground floor of Palazzo Candiotti, opening at 10:30. An exhibition area on the second floor showcases interactive stands and projects by local and international cultural organizations.
Supported by the Umbria Region and Europeana, the event includes two public workshops (by reservation) focused on using digital collections for education and outreach.
Practical tips for visitors:
The festival underscores Foligno’s role as a testing ground for effective heritage education practices, connecting young Europeans and professionals to address the future challenges of monuments and cultural assets.
