Exhibition period: from 16 April to 4 May 2026. Open daily 10:00–13:00 and 17:00–20:00.

The solo exhibition by Neapolitan photographer and poet Giacomo Garzya presents a curated selection of digital images made in 2024 and 2025, exploring Trieste’s maritime landscape through vivid Mediterranean light and bold chromatic choices. The critical introduction is by architect Marianna Accerboni.

What to expect

The works display a lively, personal interpretation of sea and urban atmospheres: bright colors, strong light contrasts and an aesthetic focus on visual intensity rather than romantic or expressionist depiction.

About the artist

Born in Naples in 1952, Giacomo Garzya combines poetry and photography. With a degree in Modern History, he has published poetry collections and photography books; his practice spans analogue slides from 1981–2009 and an extensive digital archive from 2009 onward. He has collaborated and exchanged ideas with photographer Pepi Merisio.
