The Royal Palace of Venaria, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997, becomes a focal point for spring blossom when ornamental cherry trees in the Potager Royal bloom. The result is a striking visual contrast between blossoms and alpine peaks.
Within the Potager Royal, the historic palace kitchen garden, rows of cherry trees produce a cloud of pink flowers at the end of March. The formal layout of the 18th‑century gardens combined with mountain views creates a uniquely scenic setting, attractive both in daylight and on specially scheduled evening openings.
To ensure safety and quality, access is controlled during the blossom period and visits are limited by capacity. On selected evenings the trees are illuminated for a night‑time viewing inspired by the Japanese yozakura tradition; evening slots are limited and require advance booking.
Address: Piazza della Repubblica 4 — Venaria Reale (TO). The palace is well connected to Turin by public transport and rail.
