An exhibition arriving in Milan that examines Andy Warhol's relationship with Italy from 1975 to 1987. The show presents a curated route combining iconic works, archival documents and photographs to shed light on a lesser-known phase of the artist's career.
The display highlights two major series: Vesuvius, which transforms the Neapolitan volcanic motif through Warhol's pop and serial aesthetic, and The Last Supper, a complex meditation on religious imagery and artistic memory beyond a simple postmodern reinterpretation.
The exhibition also explores the professional and cultural relationships Warhol developed with Italian figures and galleries, offering insight into the creative networks that shaped that period.
Dates: 20 March – 20 June 2026
Venue: Galleria Crédit Agricole, Refettorio delle Stelline, Milan
The exhibition is suitable for visitors interested in contemporary art history and international exchanges that influenced Warhol's production in the 1970s and 1980s. For opening hours, tickets and guided tours, check the gallery's official channels.
