Filarmonica della Scala: Michele Mariotti returns

The Filarmonica della Scala welcomes conductor Michele Mariotti back for an evening that pairs Mozart and Debussy with the sharp neoclassicism of Stravinsky. The concert is scheduled for tomorrow evening at 20:00.

• Programme: Symphony No.40 in G minor K.550 by Mozart; Petite Suite by Claude Debussy (orchestral transcription by Henri Büsser); Jeu de cartes by Igor Stravinsky.
• Open rehearsal: tonight at 19:30 Mariotti will lead an open rehearsal in support of Cooperativa Martinengo; proceeds will benefit the "Educare alla Speranza" project for families in the Corvetto neighbourhood.
• Broadcast: the concert will be aired live on Rai Radio 3 and streamed on LaScalaTv.
• Artistic note: Mariotti has been music director of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma since 2022 and was recently named principal conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai (appointment begins next October).
