Vercellae hospitales: cultural networks promoting the territory

The exhibition “…e ben predicò: la forza dei francescani a Vercelli” was inaugurated on 11 April as part of the Vercellae hospitales project, which connects local cultural initiatives with regional events.

The Turin International Book Fair is contributing to the programme with editorial and academic appointments, highlighting how historic and cultural heritage can act as a driver for local development and tourism promotion.

• Programme and guests: readings, meetings with scholars and cultural figures, and the participation of antiquarian bookshops.
• Project continuation: the collaboration will continue with the Salone Off, involving Turin and other Piedmont centres.
• Prison outreach: within the “Volta pagina” project, authors will hold sessions for inmates in Vercelli prison’s female and male sections.
• Local support: the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Vercelli confirmed its commitment to funding cultural projects for their social and economic returns to the territory.

The initiative aims to consolidate a network of cultural partners, increase access to local heritage and reinforce Vercelli’s historic identity.
