The Pompeii Archaeological Park hosts the Archeo‑Agricultural Fair of Mediterranean Territories, an event combining historical memory, traditional agricultural knowledge and sustainable innovation. The fair promotes local know‑how, typical products and approaches that blend tradition with environmentally responsible techniques.

Program and highlights

• Exhibition area: stalls along Viale delle Ginestre featuring companies, cooperatives and organizations showcasing short supply chains, artisanal processing and regional specialties.
• Inaugural conference: 15 April at the Park Auditorium, with scholars and institutional representatives discussing intangible heritage, food culture and the transmission of farming practices.
• Themed routes: guided visits and workshops exploring Mediterranean crops, seasonality and biodiversity protection.
• Sustainability focus: concrete examples of circular economy and organic methods applied within an archaeological context.

The fair highlights how cultural and landscape heritage can become a driver for local development, strengthening social networks and environmentally sound agricultural practices. The initiative is organized in collaboration with Agros S.r.l. Società Agricola, which manages the Park's agricultural areas and oversees the full production chain using traditional and organic methods.

• The exhibition area is open to all visitors of the Pompeii Archaeological Park.
• The inaugural conference on 15 April is free to attend until seating capacity is reached.
• On 16 and 17 April the international conference G.R.E.E.N. takes place at the Auditorium, focusing on the role of green spaces in conserving and enhancing archaeological sites.
