Stefano Bovi’s solo show, titled "Ferrum: The Origin of Matter", presents a body of work that reinterprets iron as a dynamic, vibrating substance. The exhibition investigates materiality through intentional rupture and the skilled use of welding, turning artisanal techniques into a contemporary sculptural vocabulary with metaphysical overtones.
The central concept of the exhibition is the notion of "Fuga" — understood here as a primordial vibration that composes reality. The act of tearing the material is framed not as destruction but as revelation: a deliberate fracture that liberates latent energy and allows metal to reorganize into unexpected structures, ranging from airy lattices to rough, cleft masses.
The exhibition positions Bovi as an artist able to engage with the city’s industrial heritage while fostering collaborations and public works. "Ferrum" offers a contemplative, sensory encounter that prompts reflection on the relationships between matter, form and time.
