FAI in Marche: walks and workshops for the countryside

From 22 to 31 May 2026 local FAI teams organise a series of outdoor initiatives across the Marche region focused on biodiversity. The programme includes guided walks, nature reserve visits, farm routes and educational workshops aimed at families, schools and nature lovers.

Program highlights

  • 22 May 2026 — Ancona: "Nature reborn" (Archaeological Museum of the Marche) — habitats and pollinators in focus.
  • 23 May 2026 — Montemarciano: "At the heart of biodiversity" — walk in the Bosco della Castagnola.
  • 23 May 2026 — San Benedetto del Tronto: "Biodiversity and memory" — guided visit to the Sentina Nature Reserve with a stop at Fattoria Ferri.
  • 23 May 2026 — Macerata: "Ancient fruits and biodiversity" — tour at Azienda Agricola SiGi highlighting traditional crop varieties.
  • 23 May 2026 — Rosora (Angeli di Rosora): "Walking towards the future" — presentation of the project to enhance the Esino river.
  • 24 May 2026 — Ancona: "Biodiversity in Parco del Cardeto" — guided walk to spot plants, pollinators and birds.
  • 24 May 2026 — Genga: "Monte Predicatore pinewood" — upper loop through centuries-old conifer stands.
  • 24 May 2026 — Sefro (Montelago): "Man and nature" — walk across the plains of Montelago to observe local landforms and scenery.
  • 24 May 2026 — Recanati: "Roots that endure" — session with a botanist in the Garden on the Hill of the Infinite focusing on wild herbs.
  • 31 May 2026 — Montegiorgio: "The Palio walk" — hike along the Viarum trail with points of interest such as the avenue of Cypress Calvi and the Sasso waterfall.

Participation and practical advice

Check schedules, meeting points and registration details with the local FAI delegation or the official event calendar. Events are designed for different fitness levels and several are family-friendly.

  • Practical tips: wear sturdy or trekking shoes, bring water and snacks, dress in layers, and use sun protection and a hat.
  • Follow guides' instructions and respect local flora and fauna.
