FAI launches 13th edition of 'Places of the Heart'

Fondo Ambiente Italiano (FAI) has opened the thirteenth edition of its national census of places to save. The initiative engages citizens, associations and local authorities in nominating and voting for landscape, architectural and cultural assets important to local communities.

• Purpose: collect nominations to create a ranked list of sites deserving protection and potential interventions.
• How to take part: citizens can nominate and vote through the FAI platform and via local initiatives organised by committees and associations.
• Expected outcomes: enhanced heritage valorisation, kick-starting conservation projects and promoting sustainable cultural tourism.
