EXPOSED Turin: a practical one-day route

The third edition of EXPOSED international photo festival offers a city-wide program. To see the highlights in one day, follow this route connecting the city centre and San Salvario with museums, squares and independent galleries.

What to see today

  • Palazzo Carignano: the courtyard hosts Torino 4×4. Photographs of a new era, a project presenting four photographers and stories focused on social inclusion.
  • Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento: Viva le donne! showcases a historical selection by photographer Paola Agosti, documenting the Italian feminist movement through images and archival material.
  • Portico of Palazzo Carignano: two related outdoor projects, including The Invention of the Self. The Countess of Castiglione (portraits from the Album Nigra) and You Can Have It All by Karla Hiraldo Voleau, exploring identity and the body.
  • Palazzo Cisterna: The city in photography – Photography in the city, presenting large-format images from Turin’s public collections and historical works.
  • Piazza San Carlo – Gallerie d’Italia: Diana Markosian, Replaced, a world-premiere project mixing film and staged/auto-fiction photographs about memory and replacement.
  • Galleries and private spaces: Weber & Weber, Dr Fake Cabinet, Giorgio Persano, Tucci Russo; the Quadrilatero hosts solo shows and contemporary projects.
  • San Salvario: A Pick Gallery, Witty Books and Jest feature experimental and independent exhibitions and events.

Practical tips

  • Start in the centre: beginning at Palazzo Carignano or the Risorgimento Museum lets you cover the main shows efficiently.
  • Time needed: allow at least half a day for the central route; add a couple of hours for San Salvario galleries.
  • Tickets and opening times: check venues for opening hours and possible reservations or ticketed entries.
  • Theme: the festival theme is Exposing oneself (Mettersi a nudo), expect works that probe identity, body and representation.

This concise map is aimed at professionals, enthusiasts and visitors seeking a focused tour of EXPOSED Turin. Enjoy the festival!
