Excavation campaign in the All'Olmo area, Este (PD)

A new archaeological excavation campaign has begun in the area known as All'Olmo in the municipality of Este (PD). Conducted in collaboration with the University of Verona and authorized by the Ministry of Culture, the project aims to trace the decumanus of the Roman town and prepare the area for future enhancement.

Guided visits led by archaeologists and technicians provide a hands-on opportunity to observe excavation methods, follow discoveries as they emerge and understand how local heritage is researched and preserved.

Local impact

The excavations support the development of the Parco dell'Olmo, envisioned as a new green space and cultural hub with educational activities and community participation. Work is also underway to upgrade the Parco di Palazzo Contarini, including planting, accessible pathways, conservation of historical artifacts and lighting.
