16th National Day of Historic Residences: 22 properties open in Campania

Sunday, May 24 Campania takes part in the 16th National Day of Historic Residences promoted by ADSI. For one day private heritage sites in the region open to the public with free visits, guided tours and historical narratives.

The 2026 theme, “Guardians of the future”, emphasizes the collective duty to preserve and enhance villas, palaces and gardens that hold local memory and identity. The event is a chance to visit places that are normally closed or accessible only on special occasions.

Visitor tips

Most visits are free and include guided tours and themed routes. Practical recommendations:

  • check schedules and whether booking is required through organisers' official channels;
  • arrive early and reserve a slot if necessary to ensure access to guided tours;
  • plan transportation between towns and historic centres, particularly in less connected areas.

This national initiative is an opportunity to rediscover private heritage as a shared cultural asset and to support the conservation of local history and landscapes.
