From Matteo Ricci to the Present: Marche Region Explores China

Explore! Dialogues on China launched in Macerata with a public meeting examining historical links and contemporary developments in relations between Italy and China.

The event took place on Saturday 16 May at the Infopoint conference hall in Piazza della Libertà and used the legacy of Matteo Ricci as a starting point to discuss geopolitics, economic interactions and cultural differences shaping current international relations.

The discussion highlighted different cultural and philosophical approaches that inform economic and diplomatic choices, and emphasized the value of engaging citizens in conversations on international affairs.

The association plans to continue the series to further connect local history with global issues.
