On Friday 17 April 2026 at 15:00, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna hosts the lecture Contemporary African Art: Memory, Identity and the Future, focused on developments in contemporary art from West Africa and its place in the global art scene.

The event is curated by Alberto Gianfreda and Maria Rita Bentini. The speaker is Odile Tevie, co‑founder and director of the Nubuke Foundation in Accra, who will share insights on exhibitions, education programmes and artist support. The introduction will be given by Silvia Zanella.
