The Archaeological Park of Pompeii hosts the inaugural Archeo‑Agricultural Fair of Mediterranean Territories, an event connecting archaeology, local farming traditions and sustainable innovation. For three days Viale delle Ginestre will host stands by agricultural producers, institutions and associations that focus on territorial heritage, biodiversity and seasonal production methods.

Main programme

• 15 April – Opening conference at the Park Auditorium featuring scholars and institutional representatives discussing intangible heritage and rural knowledge.
• 16–17 April – Exhibition of typical products, workshops and information points along Viale delle Ginestre.
• On 16 and 17 April the international conference G.R.E.E.N. – Gardens as Resources for the Enhancement of Environmental and Natural Heritage will also take place in the Auditorium, focusing on the role of green spaces in conserving archaeological contexts.

Aims and themes

The fair aims to showcase production models that combine tradition and innovation: organic techniques, short supply chains, artisanal processing and practices that protect biodiversity. It highlights how landscape and cultural heritage management can drive local socio‑economic development.

Organisation and attendance

The initiative is organised in cooperation with the agricultural partner responsible for managing the Park's green areas. The fair area is open to visitors of the archaeological site; the opening conference is free until seats are filled.
